The Bresser Messier 150\/750 Hexafoc OTA is the standalone optical tube of the most popular Newtonian in the Messier lineup. If you already have an equatorial mount, this is the most cost-effective route to 150 mm parabolic optics featuring the 2.5-inch Hexafoc focuser. Via the Vixen-style dovetail, the tube clicks onto any mount with a standard Vixen clamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parabolic f\/5 optics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 150 mm parabolic mirror collects about 459 times more light than the naked eye. With a 750 mm focal length (f\/5), you get a wide field of view for deep-sky objects, and with the 26 mm Super Pl\u00f6ssl eyepiece, you view at 29x; consider approximately 300x as the maximum. The Hexafoc supports heavy 2-inch eyepieces and camera equipment without sagging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For visual use, the Bresser EXOS-1\/EQ-4 mount with tripod (379 euros) carries this optical tube just fine.
