The equatorial mount follows the Earth's rotation with a single axis: after aligning to the North Star using the included polar scope, you can smoothly track an object with the fine adjustment knob. The maximum payload capacity is 10 kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mount is manually operated but designed for growth: with the separately available RA and DEC motor set, you can motorize tracking, and with the SynScan GoTo upgrade, you can later make it a fully computer-controlled mount.
