Sky-Watcher Telescope N 150/750 Explorer 150P EQ3-2 is a versatile Newton telescope that offers plenty of opportunities for beginners and ambitious amateur astronomers alike. With an aperture of 150 mm, this telescope captures enough light to make distant deep-sky objects visible: from nebulae like the Ring Nebula to globular clusters like M13, which you can resolve into individual stars.

Planets also show themselves in detail. You can recognize the rings of Saturn, cloud bands on Jupiter and polar caps on Mars. Thanks to its f/5 aperture ratio, this telescope belongs to the ‘fast Newtons’ category, making it suitable for both visual observation and the first steps in astrophotography.

The included EQ3-2 mount with aluminum tripod provides a stable base. After alignment to the Pole Star, you can manually track objects via fine adjustments on the RA and DEC axes. For those who want to go further, optional upgrades are available such as a pole finder, tracking motors or even a GoTo kit. With that, this kit easily grows with your experience.

The Explorer 150P EQ3-2 is portable, quickly assembled and sturdy enough to remain stable even in wind or touch. That makes this model a logical choice for those who want to start right away, but also want the ability to grow.

Observation goals

 • Suitable for moon and planets, with clear detail and contrast.

 • Ideal for deep-sky objects such as nebulae, galaxies and globular clusters thanks to its 150 mm aperture.

 • For visual observation extremely strong, and suitable for first steps in astrophotography with short exposure times.

 • Not recommended for serious long-exposure photography - that requires a heavier mount.
