Omegon Zenith mirror 90\u00b0 1.25 inches is an indispensable accessory for comfortable stargazing. In many refractors, Schmidt-Cassegrains and Maksutovs you would have to look at an awkward angle without a zenith mirror. With this 90\u00b0 mirror diagonal, you observe straight up without forcing your neck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A zenith mirror is also called star diagonal<\/em> or star diagonal<\/em> and is the standard choice for astronomical observations. Unlike an Amici prism, the zenith mirror does not fully correct the image: it remains left-right mirrored. This is not a problem for astronomy - this is precisely why you get the most high-contrast image without diffraction lines, ideal for the moon, planets and deep-sky objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
