Omegon Pro SII CCD Filter 1.25 inch: the third channel of the Hubble palette<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This narrowband filter exclusively transmits light around 672 nanometers, the emission line of ionized sulfur. For astrophotographers who want to capture the full Hubble palette with a monochrome camera, this is the missing channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capture weak sulfur structures<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Due to the high peak transmission within a very narrow band, even the weakest sulfur structures become visible, while street lighting and moonlight are effectively suppressed. This allows you to capture high-contrast images even from light-polluted locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Typical goals<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

SII is shown to great advantage on emission nebulae such as the Rosette Nebula, the Crab Nebula and IC 443, the Jellyfish Nebula. Combined with H-alpha and OIII, you can build a full-color image from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
