Unpack, set up on the tabletop tripod, aim, and look: everything you need is in the bag.

The MightyMak is a Maksutov-Cassegrain: a closed tube with a coated meniscus lens at the front. Dust and moisture stay out, collimation is rarely needed, and the lens suppresses reflections for a high-contrast image.

Aim in seconds with the red dot

With a 900 mm focal length, the field of view is narrow; without a finder, aiming quickly becomes searching. The red dot projects a small red dot onto the actual sky: dot on Jupiter, look, done.

What 80 mm opening shows

Approximately 130 times more light than the naked eye: sharp moon craters, Jupiter's cloud bands, and Saturn's rings. With the 25mm eyepiece, you get 36x magnification, and with additional eyepieces, up to approximately 160x is usable.

Telephoto lens and spotting scope in one

Via the T2 thread with a buffer ring, you connect a camera and use the MightyMak as a super telephoto lens. During the day, with the zenith mirror, it's a fully functional spotting scope for birds and landscapes, with an upright image. The GP dovetail fits almost any astronomical mount, and three photo threads make any tripod usable. This way, the tube can later grow with a larger setup.

Included

Maksutov optics 80/900 (closed tube)

LED red dot finder

Table Tripod

25 mm eyepiece (1.25 inch)

Zenith mirror 90 degrees

GP swallowtail

Carrying bag

Featured accessories

The Omegon 7-21 mm zoom eyepiece (69 euros) provides continuously variable 43x to 129x magnification. An Omegon Premium moon filter (19.90 euros) dims the bright moonlight, the Omegon Mini II Dobsonian mount (59 euros) turns it into a tabletop Dobsonian, and with the Omegon smartphone adapter 25-48 mm (14.90 euros) you can photograph the Moon through the eyepiece.

Never look at the sun through a telescope without a certified solar filter: this will cause permanent eye damage within a second.

For whom yes, for whom no

For those who want the mid-range model of the series, complete with viewfinder. Not for those who want the maximum from the series; the MightyMak 90 with LED viewfinder captures roughly a quarter more light. Compare all compact models via the Choice assistant. Meer Omegon stands on the merk page.

Specifications

Feature

Value

Opening

80 mm

Focal length

900 mm

Opening ratio

f/11, 25

Optical design

Maksutov-Cassegrain (closed tube)

Ocula Connection

1.25 inches

Camera connection

T2 thread with buffer ring

Prismarail

GP / Vixen-style

Seeker

LED red dot

Light output

About 130 times more than the naked eye

The Omegon MightyMak 80 with LED finder comes with a tabletop tripod, 25mm eyepiece, star diagonal, LED red dot finder, GP dovetail, and carrying case: sharp observations of the Moon, planets, and nature.

[126
51,568,3174,3169,430,431

post-16120","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_brand-omegon","product_cat-telescopen","product_cat-catadioptrische-telescopen","product_cat-handmatige-maksutov-telescopen","product_cat-maksutov-cassegrain-telescopen","product_cat-telescopen-voor-beginners","product_cat-telescopen-voor-kinderen","product_shipping_class-licht","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
[91761,92457,24780,26128
