Zwakke sterrenstelsels, planetaire nevels met structuur en bolhopen tot in de kern: dit is de poort naar de diepe hemel. Een Dobson bestaat uit twee delen: buis en rockerbox. Neerzetten, richten, kijken. Pl\u00f6ssl-oculair kijk je op 60x. Het theoretische maximum ligt boven 600x; in de praktijk begrenst de atmosfeer rond 300x tot 350x, en daar toont deze opening zijn kracht in helderheid en detail. De f\/4,9 optiek vraagt nauwkeurige collimatie en de ventilator verkort de afkoeltijd van de forse spiegel aanzienlijk.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smooth turning, fine focusing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De teflonlagers met spanveren draaien soepel in elke richting, tot recht omhoog in het zenit. De parabolische hoofdspiegel met 94% enhanced coating haalt merkbaar meer licht uit dezelfde opening dan standaardcoatings. Een Omegon UWA 6 mm oculair (250x, 59 euro) levert de detailvergroting, de Omegon Pro UHC 2 inch (89 euro) en OIII 2 inch (99 euro) halen het maximum uit nevels. Een Omegon maanfilter 13% 2 inch (34,90 euro) is bij deze opening geen luxe. Niet: stadsbalkon-waarnemers; lichtvervuiling beperkt juist wat deze opening extra brengt.
