The 10-inch mirror collects about 1300 times more light than the naked eye: globular clusters break apart into stars, and spiral structure in bright galaxies comes within reach. A Dobsonian consists of two parts: tube and rockerbox. Set up, point, observe. eyepiece, you get a 50x magnification with a wide field of view. The theoretical maximum is above 500x; in practice, the atmosphere limits it to around 300x to 350x. The f\/4.9 optics require precise collimation; the built-in fan quickly brings the mirror up to temperature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smooth turning, fine focusing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Teflon bearings with tension springs rotate smoothly in any direction, right up to the zenith. The parabolic primary mirror with 94% enhanced coating extracts merkbar more light from the same aperture than standard coatings. An Omegon UWA 6 mm eyepiece (208x, 59 euros) provides high-detail magnification, and the Omegon Pro UHC 2-inch (89 euros) brings nebulae into sharp focus. An Omegon 13% 2-inch lunar filter (34.90 euros) reduces the glare from the very bright Moon. For transport, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telescoop.nl\/en\/padded-transport-bag-for-newton-telescopes-250-1200\/\">Newton 250\/1250 carrying case<\/a> (99 euros).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For whom yes, for whom no<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Suitable for those serious about deep-sky observation and willing to handle a 12 kg tube. Not for those who have doubts about size; the 203\/1200 is more manageable and remains our beginner's choice.
