The longest focal length in the series, for the lowest magnification and the brightest image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On a Schmidt-Cassegrain with a 2000mm focal length, a 40mm eyepiece provides 50x magnification: this eyepiece is perfectly suited for such long telescopes. Note: the actual field of view with the 40mm is no larger than with the 32mm eyepiece, as the 1.25-inch barrel limits the field edge.
