Regions with high methane concentrations in the atmospheres of Jupiter and Saturn appear dark, while high cloud layers and storms light up. This allows you to capture structures that remain invisible with standard filters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The full width at half maximum of 20 nm (200 angstroms) keeps the passband pure and leakage minimal. Because the line lies deep in the infrared, an infrared-sensitive camera is required; visual use is not possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What you capture with it<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Cloud bands and storms on Jupiter, including the Great Red Spot<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Methane structures in Saturn's atmosphere<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Contrast detail that is lost with broadband filters<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Compatibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fits in any 1.25-inch filter holder or filter wheel.
