Equipped with the Sony IMX678 CMOS sensor, this camera delivers a resolution of 3840 \u00d7 2160 pixels (8.3 MP) and a pixel size of just 2.0 \u00b5m. That means you can capture fine details without always needing a Barlow lens, even at telescopes with shorter focal lengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compared to its predecessor, the ASI178MM, the ASI678MM offers significantly lower readout noise, higher sensitivity and improved IR response. Thanks to the amp glow-free design, recordings remain clean even at longer exposures. The High Gain Mode (from gain 182) also provides dramatic noise reduction and increased dynamic range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a frame rate of up to 47.5 fps at full resolution, the camera is ideal for lucky imaging, combining short exposures into razor-sharp planetary and lunar images.
