ZWO ASI678MM: monochrome sharpness for the demanding planetary photographer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De ASI678MM is de monochrome uitvoering van ZWO’s hoge-resolutie planeetsensor. De Sony IMX678 levert 3840 x 2160 pixels (8,3 MP) van 2,0 micrometer, zonder Bayer-matrix: elk pixel vangt het volledige signaal. In combinatie met filters haal je zo het absolute maximum aan scherpte en contrast uit maan, zon en planeten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared to the older ASI178MM, the read noise is lower, the infrared response is better, and the amplifier glow has completely vanished. The High Gain Mode from gain 182 suppresses the noise even further at the settings where planetary photographers live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the monoworkflow<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

With a filter wheel, you switch between red, green, blue, and infrared, stacking per channel at full resolution. An IR-pass filter delivers a smooth luminance during moderate seeing; RGB supplies the color. The result surpasses what a color sensor can capture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dual connection (T2 and 1.25 inch) fits filter wheels, Barlows, and focusers without additional adapters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Speed where it matters<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

At 47.5 frames per second at full resolution, and significantly more with cropped image areas (ROI), you will collect more than enough frames within Jupiter's rotation window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is also an excellent sensor for solar photography in hydrogen-alpha or white light (always with a safe filter system).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
