ZWO ASI294MM Pro Mono: cooled mono with switchable resolution<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ASI294MM Pro adds active TEC cooling (up to 35 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature) to the versatile Sony IMX492 mono sensor. By default, you work with 4.63 micrometer pixels at 4144 x 2822 (11.7 MP); in unlocked mode, the camera switches to 2.32 micrometer at 8288 x 5644 (47 MP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a quantum efficiency of up to 90%, a 14-bit readout, and a generous 512 MB of DDR3 buffer memory, this is the complete 4\/3-format monochrome camera for deep-sky imaging: narrowband, LRGB, and high-resolution imaging\u2014all in a single housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

narrowband cooling<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Narrowband channels require exposures of many minutes. The stable cooling temperature keeps thermal noise low and makes dark frame libraries reusable across sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In HCG mode, the readout noise drops below 2 electrons, making shorter subframes usable as well. The cooling requires a 12-volt power supply.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

One sensor, two fields of application<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For nebulae and galaxies, you use the sensitive standard mode; for the sun (with a safe filter system), moon, and fine details, you switch to the 47 MP unlocked mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combine with the EFW 7x36mm filter wheel and 36 mm filters for a vignetting-free workflow on the 4\/3 field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
