The Baader AstroSolar Safety Film transmits 0.001 percent of the light and shows the sun in neutral white.

Never look at the sun without a certified solar filter, with any instrument. A telescope concentrates sunlight strongly enough to cause permanent eye damage in a fraction of a second. Check the film for holes and damage before each use, always mount the filter at the front of the telescope opening, and cover or remove the finder scope.

Features

Baader AstroSolar Safety Film (ND5, white light)

Light transmission 0.001 percent

Free passage 89 mm

Fits pipes with an outer diameter of 118 to 124 mm

Plastic frame, mounts over the telescope opening

Compatibility

Measure the outer diameter of your telescope tube and compare it to the fitting above; the filter should clamp firmly over the opening and never be blown off by the wind.

Specifications

Filter type

Bright light, ND5

Foil

Baader AstroSolar Safety Film

Light transmission

0.001 percent

Free passage

89 mm

Suitable for outer diameter

118 to 124 mm

Internal frame diameter

128 to 134 mm

Image color

Neutral white

Frame

Plastic

You can find more accessories for this brand at the Omegon brand page.

White-light solar filter (ND5) with Baader AstroSolar Safety Film for telescopes with 114mm aperture.
