A perfectly aligned telescope is worthless once the optics fog up. This flexible dew shield extends the tube past the lens or corrector plate, causing it to lose less heat to the open sky and condensation to occur much later or not at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Velvet on the inside<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The interior is lined with black velvet. This suppresses stray light from streetlights and the moon, and at the same time slows down the cooling of the optics. So, a double win: more contrast and less dew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rollable and adjustable<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The flexible plastic exterior makes the cover easy to roll up and compact to store. The adjustable velcro closure keeps it in place, even when the cover is fully unrolled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
