With Newtonians and longer refractors, that is the margin that prevents collisions with the tripod legs, especially at low celestial elevations and around the zenith where the finest targets are located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You attach the robust aluminum column directly between the mount and tripod using standard screw connections.
