De lens bestaat uit drie volledig meervoudig gecoate elementen in twee groepen en is apochromatisch, wat kleurranden bij hoge vergroting tegengaat. Een messing klemring houdt het oculair vast zonder de huls te beschadigen.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Een oculair van 25 mm werkt met deze Barlow als 8,3 mm: bij 750 mm brandpunt ga je van 30x naar 90x. Een 3x Barlow past vooral bij telescopen met een kort brandpunt en bij oculairs vanaf ongeveer 12 mm.
