The ATR533C has the Sony IMX533, a 1-inch square sensor with 3,008 x 3,008 pixels at 3.76 micrometers. The square format is useful for deep-sky observations: you don\u2019t have to rotate as much to get an object in focus, and there\u2019s little to crop.<\/p>\n

The reading noise starts at 1.1 electrons; there is no amplifier glow and the two-stage Peltier cooling brings the sensor to 42 degrees below the ambient temperature, with an error of 0.1 degree. Heating in four settings keeps the window free from condensation. Exposures of up to an hour are possible.<\/p>\n

For cooling, the camera needs a stable 12 volt power supply of 3 amps. The power adapter is included; you can also use a good lithium battery from 11 to 14 volts outside.<\/p>\n

The camera works with ToupSky, SharpCap, N.I.N.A. and other programs via ASCOM or INDI. Please note: the ZWO ASIAIR only supports ZWO cameras. If you want to work wirelessly, the ToupTek StellaVita is the controller that comes with this camera.<\/p>\n

Hello<\/strong> who starts with cooled deep-sky photography, for example with a small refractor.<\/p>\n

Not<\/strong> If you want an APS-C image area, then look at the ATR2600C.<\/p>\n
