A 14-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain is large and heavy, which is why many people prefer to set it up on a tripod. The Telegizmos TG-14 is a protective case for just that size. Between sessions, you cover the telescope so dust, dirt, and moisture stay outside. When the weather is clear, you take off the cover and can start right away.

The cover is intended for a 14-inch SCT. You will find this size in classic Schmidt-Cassegrains and in EdgeHD telescopes. Also, look at how your telescope is mounted.

Measure the setup including the viewfinder and accessories and compare that with the dimensions of the cover. Always also attach the fabric cover to the corrector plate. If dew has gotten on the telescope, let it dry first before you put the cover on it.

To limit the amount of dew during observation, you can use a rainbow band for 14 and 16 inch telescopes Use. If your 14-inch monitor is on an equatorial mount, then also compare the TGG-2 for SCTs on an EQ mount.

Telegizmos cover for a 14-inch
