Kijk je met brede oculairs door een snelle Newton, dan zie je de sterren aan de rand van het beeld uitlopen tot komeetjes. Die vervorming heet coma. Deze Paracorr focuser van Starlight Instruments, de FTF2015BCR met SIPS, heeft een comacorrector ingebouwd die dat wegwerkt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SIPS staat voor Starlight Integrated Paracorr System. De Paracorr is een corrector van Tele Vue, hier vast in een lichte Feather Touch focuser. Hoe sneller de Newton, hoe meer coma je ziet. Daarom is hij vooral interessant voor grote Dobson telescopes<\/a> en Newtons met een kleine openingsverhouding, zoals de Skyliner-400P FlexTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omdat corrector en focuser \u00e9\u00e9n geheel vormen, hoef je de corrector niet steeds los in de focuser te zetten. Let bij het monteren op de juiste hoogte van de focuser boven de tubus, zodat je focus goed uitkomt.
