Bouw je zelf een telescoop of heeft je vakwerk Dobson een vierkante kooi, dan bestaat er vaak geen kant-en-klare adapter voor je focuser. Deze vlakke focuserbasis voor een 3 inch focuser van Starlight Instruments schroef je op een vlak oppervlak, waarna de focuser erop komt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Met de stelschroeven zet je de focuser haaks op het lichtpad. Dat is bij zelfbouw en bij Dobson telescopes<\/a> belangrijk, omdat de focuser recht tegenover de vangspiegel moet staan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
