Moet je de uittrekbuis ver uitschuiven of een losse verlengbus gebruiken om scherp te komen, dan wordt je opstelling minder stabiel. Met deze focuserverhoging van 4 inch van Starlight Instruments, ook wel riser genoemd, zet je de focuser verder van de tubus. Je plaatst hem tussen de focuserbasis en de focuser, waardoor het scherpstelbereik naar buiten verschuift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Risers bestaan in verschillende maten en voor verschillende focusers, dus controleer vooraf of deze aansluit op jouw focuser en basis. Bij een Newton, en dus ook bij veel Dobson telescopes<\/a>, heeft een hoger geplaatste focuser invloed op hoe goed de vangspiegel het beeldveld belicht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
