The DayStar flat cap FC210 attaches to the front of your telescope for that purpose. You can use it to create flat frames: shots of a uniformly lit surface through your own optics, which allows stack software to eliminate vignetting and the shadows of dust on your sensor and filters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Measure the outer diameter of the front of your tube or hood and choose the cap that fits it, because a cap that fits well keeps stray light out.
