The DayStar flat cap FC190 attaches to the front of your telescope to create flat frames. Flats are shots of a uniformly lit surface that you compensate for when stacking with your light frames, so dark corners and shadows of dust disappear from the final result.

Whether you are with an astrocamera If you are using a system camera, the procedure is the same. First, check which size fits the front of your tube or fog cap, so that the cap fits properly and no stray light falls in from the edge inwards.

Make your shots preferably immediately after your recording session, without changing your focus or the position of your camera. If you want to learn the entire process from recording to editing, check out the astrophotography course.

If this size does not fit, please check the the flat cap FC210.

FC190 flat cap from DayStar for the front of your telescope, for flat frames that eliminate dust and vignetting.

[3282
3104,56

post-113203","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_brand-daystar","product_cat-overige-astrofotografie-accessoires","product_cat-telescoop-accessoires","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
FC154 flat cap for the front of your telescope, to create flats that fit your setup, with or without a reducer.
https://i0.wp.com/www.telescoop.nl/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/87182_1.jpg?resize=350%2C200&ssl=1 1x, https://i0.wp.com/www.telescoop.nl/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/87182_1.jpg?resize=525%2C300&ssl=1 1.5x
Flat cap in size FC140 from DayStar.
