A child who looks through a telescope but doesn’t know what they’re seeing quickly loses interest. This telescope for children from Buki comes with 40 activities that explain step by step what you can find in the sky and how the telescope works.

It is intended as a first introduction to star gazing and is part of our telescopes specially designed for children. Start with the moon: it is large and bright, and you immediately see craters and mountains on it. In The lunar calendar You can see when the moon is clearly visible at night.

If the telescope is equipped with different eyepieces, start with the lowest magnification and only then increase it. Set it outside for half an hour before you start, then the image will be clearer. And ask your child to never look at the sun with a telescope.

It helps to find constellations a rotating star map for the Netherlands. If you want to show your child how a mirror absorbs light, there is the Buki reflecting telescope.

Buki's first telescope with 40 functions, so
