If you regularly switch between the Hyperstar and the regular setup of your Schmidt-Cassegrain, you will often also be using the collimation system. With Bob\u2019s Knobs for an 8-inch SCT with Hyperstar, you no longer need any tools for that, because you turn the knobs instead of using small screws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Hyperstar, you remove the secondary mirror from a suitable SCT and install a camera in front, so you can take photos very quickly. This setup works with cameras for astrophotography<\/a>. Check beforehand whether your telescope is compatible with Hyperstar and which version you have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When adjusting, always turn a small amount at a time. After collimation, you set the focus. A help in this is a Bahtinov mask tailored to your tube<\/a>; First measure the outer diameter of your tube and see if the mask fits while the Hyperstar camera is positioned in front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
