Bij een grote Schmidt-Cassegrain zit de correctorplaat helemaal vooraan, en op een vochtige avond slaat die als eerste aan. Een dauwband om je 10 inch telescoop houdt het glas net boven het dauwpunt, zodat je niet halverwege je sessie hoeft te stoppen. Deze verwarmingsband van Astrozap is gemaakt voor telescopen van 9 en 10 inch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ook een 9,25 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain valt in deze maat, zoals de 9,25 inch NexStar Evolution<\/a>. Je legt de band om de tubus bij de voorste optiek. Meet wel even de buitendiameter van jouw tubus op die plek, dan weet je zeker dat de band goed aansluit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De band krijgt stroom via een dauwcontroller, waarmee je regelt hoeveel warmte hij afgeeft. Combineer hem met een van de dauwkappen voor je telescoop<\/a>: die schermt de optiek af van de koude hemel, waardoor de band minder hoeft te doen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
