Je hebt alles klaarstaan, de lucht is helder, en na een uur vervagen de sterren. Vaak is dan de voorste optiek beslagen. Een dauwband om je 8 inch telescoop voorkomt dat, want de band houdt het glas net boven het dauwpunt. Deze uitvoering van Astrozap is bedoeld voor telescopen van 7 en 8 inch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je legt de band om de tubus, vlak bij de voorste optiek, bijvoorbeeld bij een 8 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain met de correctorplaat vooraan. Bij de Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes<\/a> zie je welke modellen in deze maat vallen. Meet wel de buitendiameter van je eigen tubus op de plek waar de band komt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De band heeft een stroombron nodig, meestal een dauwcontroller. Met een regelaar met twee kanalen<\/a> stel je de warmte in en kun je later een tweede band aansluiten, bijvoorbeeld voor je zoeker. Zet de verwarming aan voordat het glas beslaat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
