TeleVue Powermate 4x 2\" - Barlow Lens<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The TeleVue Powermate 4x 2\"<\/strong> is a high-quality magnification lens that increases the effective focal length of your telescope by a factor 4x<\/strong> extends. Thanks to its advanced optical design, this Powermate delivers an excellently corrected and high-contrast image, both for visual observation and astrophotography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike a classic Barlow lens, the Powermate passes the light beam parallel to the eyepiece or camera. This keeps image quality stable, even at high magnifications and in fast telescopes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four Elements for Maximum Sharpness<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Powermate is constructed from 4 lens elements<\/strong> in a combination of negative and positive working groups. This design ensures high edge sharpness and a well-corrected image in virtually all optical systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because the light beam remains parallel, the eye relief does not change with eyepieces of longer focal length. This prevents vignetting and maintains familiar viewing comfort. This also results in an evenly illuminated image with high contrast for photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parallel beam path also makes this Powermate very suitable for use with H-alpha systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robust construction and photographic capabilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The housing is made of aluminum<\/strong> and has a 2\" fitting<\/strong> with integrated 1.25\" reduction adapter with spring ring clamp<\/strong>. This allows you to both 2\u2033<\/strong> as 1.25\u2033 eyepieces<\/strong> use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Powermate has a 2\" filter thread<\/strong> for standard 2\" filters<\/strong>. Additionally, the 2\" Powermate can be separated to create an optional T-ring<\/strong> to be used for direct camera coupling in astrophotography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
