TeleVue DIOPTRX 2.25 - Astigmatism Corrector<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The TeleVue DIOPTRX 2.25<\/strong> is an optical corrective lens that effectively corrects astigmatism during observation. With a correction value of 2.25 diopters (dpt)<\/strong> compensates for your cylinder aberration directly at the eyepiece. This makes stars visible again as sharp points and allows you to observe comfortably without glasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Astigmatism causes light not to converge at a single sharp focal point, but at two different focal lines. This leads to distorted or elongated star images and reduced contrast. The DIOPTRX optically corrects this aberration without affecting the original image quality of the eyepiece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swiveling axle setting and optimal coating<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The corrector is firmly attached to the eyepiece and remains freely rotatable. This allows you to precisely adjust the axial position to your personal cylinder correction. Proper alignment is essential for maximum sharpness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The optical surfaces are equipped with high-quality multicoating<\/strong> to minimize reflections and maintain high light transmission. The integrated rubber eyecup<\/strong> increases viewing comfort and protects against stray light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compatibility with TeleVue eyepieces<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The DIOPTRX is exclusively for select TeleVue eyepieces and will not fit eyepieces from other brands. Compatible eyepieces include: Pl\u00f6ssl 50, 40, and 32mm; Radian 18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, and 3mm; Panoptic 41, 35, 27, and 22mm (19mm and 24mm with DEA-0001 adapter<\/strong>); Nagler Type 4 22 and 12 mm; Nagler Type 5 31 and 26 mm (20 mm with DEA-0001 adapter<\/strong>); all Nagler Type 6 models with DNA-6000 adapter<\/strong>; Ethos 6, 8, 13, and 17 mm; and the DIOPTRX-ready versions of the Click Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is how you choose the right strength<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The DIOPTRX is available in increments of 0.25 dpt<\/strong>, from 0.25 to 3.50 dpt. This version corrects 2.25 dpt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On your eyeglass prescription, you only look at the value for CYL<\/strong> (cylinder). The spherical value is not important in this case. If you can't find your glasses prescription, an optician can easily determine your cylinder strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
