The FoneMate clamps a smartphone precisely above the eyepiece lens, with the camera lens on the optical axis. This turns any telescope into a telephoto lens for the camera you already have with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is how digiscoping works<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The phone photographs through the eyepiece, showing what you see: afocal photography. You focus with the telescope, and the phone controls the exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firm and repeatable clamping<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The FoneMate attaches to eyepieces that accept the Dioptrx mount and clamps the phone with a wide, padded grip. Once aligned, the camera lens is right on the axis again every session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
