Order & Shipping<\/strong><\/h2>

What are the shipping costs?
<\/strong>If your order fits in a single standard box, you pay a flat rate in the Netherlands and Belgium. Large telescopes are calculated by size and weight. You will see the exact amount in checkout before you pay.<\/p>

How do I know if a telescope is in stock?
<\/strong>On the product page, you can see for each product how quickly it can reach you. If it says \u201cIn stock, shipped tomorrow,\u201d it is in our own warehouse in Sneek and will be dispatched the next business day. If it says \u201cIn stock,\u201d it is in one of our other warehouses and you can count on 2 to 4 business days. If it says \u201cOn backorder,\u201d we will order it immediately after your order and ship it as soon as it arrives. If you are in doubt, or want an exact date, just email, call, or WhatsApp us.<\/p>

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?
<\/strong>For \u201cIn stock, ships tomorrow,\u201d you will usually receive your order the day after shipping in the Netherlands, and within 1 to 2 business days in Belgium. For \u201cIn stock,\u201d expect 2 to 4 business days, and for backorders, 1 to 3 weeks. If you are ordering internationally, you can find the delivery time per country on our shipping information page. You can always see the expected date of your order on tracking.telescoop.nl. If a backorder is unexpectedly delayed, we will let you know before you even have to ask, giving you the option to wait or cancel free of charge.<\/p>

How can I track my order?<\/strong>
Go to tracking.telescoop.nl and enter your order number, postal code, and house number. You will then see the status of each item, which warehouse it is coming from, and when we expect it. As soon as a package is on its way, the track and trace code will also be shown there. For safety reasons, large telescopes are shipped in two separate boxes, each with its own code. Did only one box arrive first? The second part will almost always follow the next business day.<\/p>

I haven't received a message about my order yet, is something wrong?<\/strong>
No. As long as everything goes according to plan, we do not send intermediate emails. If you want to know how things stand, you can check tracking.telescoop.nl. If something deviates, for example a later delivery date, we will email you ourselves.<\/p>

Can I still change or cancel my order?<\/strong>
As long as your order has not been shipped yet, that is possible. Email us as soon as possible at support@telescoop.nl<\/a> with your order number, then we'll arrange it.<\/p>

Is my shipment insured?<\/strong>
Yes. Until the moment of delivery, the transport risk is entirely ours. If something arrives damaged or not at all, we will resolve it with a replacement or another appropriate solution.<\/p>

What should I do if my product arrives damaged?<\/strong>
Take photos of the packaging immediately (even if the contents look intact) and of the damage to the product, and email them to support@telescoop.nl<\/a>. We will arrange a replacement or another solution and recover the damage from the carrier ourselves. You don't have to worry about that.<\/p>

Return<\/strong><\/h2>

Can I return my order?<\/strong>
Yes. You have a 30-day cooling-off period from the day after receipt, without giving any reason. Register your return via support@telescoop.nl<\/a>, phone or WhatsApp and return the product within 14 days. All details are on our returns page. Not entirely happy with your telescope, but still want to keep stargazing? We are happy to help you think of a suitable alternative.<\/p>

Are returns free?<\/strong>
No, the return shipping costs are at your own expense. For a standard package, this is about \u20ac 7.25. Are you returning a large telescope? Send us an email, and we will help you think about safe packaging and the best shipping option. You will receive the full purchase amount including the original shipping costs.<\/p>

I don't know which telescope to choose, can you guys help?<\/strong>
That's what we're here for. In our buying guides, we explain step by step which telescope suits you. If you can't figure it out, send us a message with what you want to see (Moon and planets? Deep-sky?), where you live (city or dark sky?), and your budget. You will then receive honest, personal advice from someone who stargazes themselves. Even if that means we recommend the cheaper model.<\/p>

Can I see planets and deep-sky objects with a telescope?<\/strong>
Certainly. The Moon, Saturn's rings, and Jupiter's moons and cloud belts can already be beautifully viewed with an entry-level model. For deep-sky objects such as star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies, the rule is: the larger the aperture of your telescope and the darker your sky, the more you will see. A 6-inch or larger Dobson is a popular choice for this, offering great value for money. In our buying guides, you can read what to expect from each type of telescope.<\/p>

What accessories do I need for astrophotography?<\/strong>
That depends on what you want to photograph. For the Moon and planets, you can already get far with a planetary camera on your existing telescope. For deep-sky photography, you need a motorized equatorial mount, a suitable telescope or lens, and a camera with an adapter. Smart telescopes, which do alignment and stacking automatically, are an accessible alternative to start with nowadays. Tell us where you want to go, and we will put together something that fits your budget.<\/p>

What are the warranty terms?<\/strong>
The statutory warranty applies to all products: the product must do what you can reasonably expect of it. In addition, a manufacturer's warranty applies per brand; you can find those conditions on the product page. If you discover a defect, please report it within 2 months via support@telescoop.nl<\/a>. We provide free repair or replacement and handle everything with the manufacturer.<\/p>

About Telescoop.nl<\/strong><\/h2>

Do you have a physical location?
<\/strong>We don't have a storefront with regular opening hours, but you are welcome to visit us in Sneek by appointment: to pick up your order, see a telescope in person, or get a personal explanation about astrophotography or visual observation. If you purchased from us, that guidance is free of charge. In addition, we regularly attend stargazing evenings and events, and we bring our educational program into classrooms. Just send us an email, and we'll schedule a time.<\/p>

Do you offer discounts?<\/strong>
Our prices are already competitively priced by default, so we don't throw around fixed discount percentages. However, we do run promotions regularly. Sign up for the newsletter to be the first to know.<\/p>
