Powerful Maksutov for sharp planetary images
The Skywatcher MC 180/2700 EQ5 is ideal for Moon and planets. With a focal length of 2700 mm, you'll see high magnifications with bright contrast. The meniscus lens corrects color errors and keeps edges sharp, so you can effortlessly recognize details such as craters and rings.

Also suitable for bright deep-sky objects
The 180 mm aperture captures a lot of light. So you can also view globular clusters and bright nebulae. The compact design is easy to transport and puts hardly any strain on the mount.

High contrast, minimal obstruction
The small secondary mirror limits obstruction. You get a bright image with lots of detail. Jupiter's cloud bands and Saturn's rings come out beautifully, even at higher magnifications.
EQ5 Pro GoTo mount
The NEQ-5 Pro GoTo makes aiming and tracking easy. The SynScan hand control lets you track objects automatically. The mount is stable and weighs 7.4 kg. Vibrations are quickly dampened, keeping your image calm. This also allows you to start astrophotography of Moon, planets and bright deep-sky objects.
Supplied complete
You get 20 mm and 9 mm eyepieces, 9×50 viewfinder, 2″ → 1.25″ adapter, 2″ star diagonal, steel tripod, counterweights, Vixen-style tube rings, polar finder and cigarette lighter power cable. Ready for observation within minutes.
