Compact achromatic refractor

The Skywatcher AC 70/900 EQ-1 is a compact refractor with a 70 mm aperture and 900 mm focal length. It captures 100 times more light than your eye alone. As a result, you will see planets and the Moon with surprising detail. It is an ideal telescope for beginners and for daylight observations, such as birds or landscapes.

Clear image of planets and Moon

With a maximum magnification of 140× you can see Saturn's rings, cloud bands of Jupiter and Mars in color and detail. The Moon shows an impressive crater landscape that changes with the lunar phase. Precise focusing keeps your image sharp and stable.

Versatile and easy to use

You can use the telescope as a follower or as a companion tube to a larger telescope. With a dial focuser, you easily set the focus and keep it constant during observation. Accessories such as an Amici prism or reversing lens also work perfectly.

Accurate tracking with EQ-1 mount

The parallactic EQ-1 mount makes alignment to the Pole Star easy. Fine movements about the RA and DEC axes let you track objects precisely. The counterweight keeps the optics stable. The aluminum tripod is sturdy and adjustable from 70 to 120 cm.

Supplied complete

The telescope comes with 25 mm and 10 mm eyepieces (1.25″), a 1.25″ 90° star diagonal, a 2× Barlow lens and a Red Dot viewfinder. This allows you to start observing within minutes.
