This is a sample page. It differs from a blog post because it stays in one place and will be visible in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About Us page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might look something like this:

...Or something like this:

As a new WordPress user, you can go to your dashboard go to delete this page and create new pages for your content. Have fun!
