Would you like to use your telescope to observe the sun during the day as well? With this solar filter, solar viewing becomes not only possible, but above all safe and impressive. The original Baader AstroSolar ND5 film shows the sun in a natural white image, while 99.999% of sunlight is filtered out - so you can observe without risk.
The filter is ready to use immediately and fits perfectly on telescopes with a lens diameter between 140 and 146 mm, including the Omegon Basic 130mm. Thanks to the sturdy plastic frame, you simply click the solar filter onto the front of the telescope. No assembly or additional parts required.
You can see details on the solar surface that remain invisible to the naked eye:
✓ Sunspots and active regions in bright detail
✓ Flare fields and solar granulation at the edge of the solar disk
✓ The course of a solar eclipse, safe and razor-sharp
✓ The ability to track and photograph sunspots
This solar filter is suitable for both visual observation and astrophotography. With a simple setup, you can already take stunning images of sunspots or the course of a partial eclipse. All you need to do is combine your telescope with this filter and a smartphone holder or simple camera adapter.
Are you using a brand of telescope other than Omegon? Then check the outer diameter of your objective lens. If it is between 140 and 146 mm, then this filter will most likely also fit your telescope. In the solar filter table (found under the Downloads tab) you can see exactly which models are suitable.
A green indication means the filter fits perfectly, yellow means you can still create a good fit with a thin foam strip.
Whether you are looking at the sun for the first time or are already experienced with observations, this solar filter takes your telescope to the next level - literally from night to day.
