The Omegon Reducer 0.7x for 108/600 Quintuplet APO shortens the focal length of your apochromatic refractor from 600 mm to 420 mm, changing the aperture ratio from f/5.6 to a very bright f/3.9 system. This yields significantly shorter exposure times, allowing you to capture more details and fainter deep-sky objects faster.
Designed specifically for the Omegon Pro APO 108/600 Quintuplet, the reducer offers a fully corrected field of view that is also suitable for full-frame sensors. Thanks to the high-quality FMC coating, light transmission remains optimal and stars are sharp right to the edges of your shot.
On the telescope side, the reducer features an M80x1 and M90x1 internal thread, while the camera side offers an M48x0.75 external thread. With a back focus of 55 mm and an additional internal M48 filter thread, there is room for filters and adapters. In addition, the camera flange can be rotated using three bronze set screws, allowing you to precisely align the angle of view.
Application
The Omegon Reducer 0.7x for 108/600 Quintuplet APO is ideal for astrophotography of vast deep-sky objects such as nebulae, galaxies and galaxy fields. Thanks to the reduction to f/3.9, you benefit from shorter exposure times, less visible tracking errors and maximum utilization of full-frame sensors.
