The Omegon Eyepiece Premium Flatfield 60° 5.5 mm is designed for observers who want detail and sharpness all the way to the edge of the field of view. Thanks to the Flatfield optics and the integrated ED element, this eyepiece offers a true-to-life, high-contrast image without distortions. Objects retain their shape and sharpness even when moved to the edge of the field of view.

This 5.5mm eyepiece delivers high magnifications and is particularly suitable for observations of the Moon, planets and small deep-sky objects. The wide field of view of 60° provides a spacious feeling and avoids the oppressive ‘tunnel vision’ often encountered with classic Plössl eyepieces. Thanks to the multiple optical coatings, stray light is minimized and the image remains clear and rich in contrast.

The design with six lens elements ensures not only sharpness but also neutral color reproduction. Viewing comfort is high: with an eye relief of 16 mm, even spectacle wearers can use the full field of view. Even with telescopes with a large aperture ratio (such as f/5 Newtons), the image field remains remarkably flat.
